create user zabbix
set passwd for zabbix
switch user to zabbix
run ./configure –enable-agent
switch user to root
run make install
mkdir /etc/zabbix
edit zabbix_agentd.conf and change hostname
mv /home/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.conf /etc/zabbix/
mv /home/zabbix/zabbix-agent.init /etc/init.d/zabbix-agent
chkconfig –add zabbix-agent
chkconfig zabbix-agent on
service zabbix-agent start
